Reducing Contingent Appropriation in the amount of $500,000.00 in the General Fund to provide funding for the Police Foundation of Kansas City to use towards technology improvements for the Kansas City Police Department; designating requisitioning authority; directing the City Manager to include a request for appropriation in the FY27 submitted budget from the Public Safety Sales Tax Fund in the amount of $500,000.00 as a transfer to the General Fund; and recognizing this ordinance as having an accelerated effective date.

Amending Committee Substitute for Ordinance No. 230582 by repealing and replacing Sections 1 (b) and (c) for purposes of aligning with the negotiated contract terms with the Convention and Visitors Bureau of Greater Kansas City, Inc. d/b/a Visit KC (“Visit KC”).

Applying the special skills waiver of the residency requirement of City Code Section 2-721.1 for Rafael (“Ralph”) Oropeza who is to be selected as a member of the Construction Workforce Board.
