Board action on unscheduled items, if any, shall be limited to referring the item to staff for a report and possible scheduling on a future Civil Service Board agenda.

Meeting Minutes February 23, 2026
Board Counsel; James McCann was present and represented the Board. Also present was Acting Secretary Desginee; Brittany Blanco, Assistant Personnel Director; Jennifer Misner, Assistant Personnel Director; Sandra ChavezMartin, Human Resource Manager; Marissa Barnett, Assistant City Attorney; Jennifer DeRousi, Deputy City Attorney III; Sylvia Luna
The board went into Closed Session and proceeded to discuss item ID 26-229. Presenting on behalf of COF was Assistant City Attorney; Jennifer DeRousi. Appellant was present with support person. The board rejected the Hearing Officers Recommendations. A motion was made by Vice Chair Cregar and seconded by Member Martinez-Cano for a unanimous vote 4-0 to uphold the City's decision for removal.
The Board went into Open Session for all other communications and public comment. The appellant requested for finalized documents to be mailed to home address in addition to the notification of the appellants representative. In accordance with the Civil Service Board processes, this was agreed upon and mailing address was verified with the appellant.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned at 9:05 A.M
At 9:00AM, after roll call, the Board was in open session to approve item ID 26-327.
