Committee approves single-source security vendors; receives IT and utilities technology updates
At the October 22, 2020 Communication, Technology & Information Systems Committee meeting (Police Department Community Room), Councilwoman Bettye Gavin and Michael F. Turk were present and Sherri Reardon was absent. The committee approved motions to designate Axon as the single-source provider for digital evidence storage, Flock as the single-source fixed LPR vendor, and Advent and VideoTec as the sole vendors for Genetec services. Staff provided updates on Axon in-car camera installations (160 vehicles), Heartland projects including Office 365, single sign-on and email domain consolidation, a water-loss analytics project to identify zones within six months, the need to accelerate GIS to the cloud or add a redundant data center, and expanded use of Vueworks for asset management. No public comment was received. Meeting adjourned.
