City Council approves consent agenda including The Vantage PD, adopts lease for 200 N. Garth, and schedules public safety sales tax election on first reading
At the April 20, 2026 regular meeting the City Council approved minutes, appointed a Bicycle/Pedestrian Commissioner, passed a broad consent agenda (including approval of The Vantage planned development and multiple plats and infrastructure items), adopted R73-26 leasing 200 N. Garth Avenue to Love Columbia Corp. for transitional housing (5-1), withdrew B81-26, and gave first reading to a measure calling an August 4, 2026 special election on a one-percent sales tax for public safety. Members heard public comment on Vidwest funding, campaign finance reform, and Columbia Housing Authority updates. The meeting adjourned at 8:52 p.m.
