Land Use and Transportation Committee minutes — March 9, 2026

The Land Use and Transportation Committee met March 9, 2026 at 1:30 PM in City Hall, Legislative Chamber, Room 250. Chair Myrna Melgar, Vice Chair Chyanne Chen, and Member Bilal Mahmood were present (quorum). The Committee: amended and recommended a resolution to add the commemorative street name “James Richards Way” on Oakdale Avenue (Third Street to Newhall) as a Committee Report (3-0); recommended initiation of landmark designation for Engine Company No. 33 at 117 Broad Street (3-0); and amended and recommended an ordinance to establish the 2245 Post Street Special Use District, including findings under CEQA and related Planning Code findings (3-0). The meeting adjourned at 2:02 p.m.
