Legislative Hearings — Ratification of Special Tax Assessments and Abatement Orders (Jan 20, 2026)

The City of Saint Paul Legislative Hearings on January 20, 2026 reviewed appeals of special tax assessments and nuisance/vehicle abatement orders. The assessment for 650 Sims Avenue was ratified and referred to City Council for a February 11, 2026 public hearing with the owner invited to submit additional information. Multiple other tax assessments were recommended for deletion due to lack of Department documentation following a cyber-attack. A nuisance at 2016 Fremont Avenue was found abated and related appeals denied; the owner of 120 Flandrau Place was granted an extension to March 6, 2026 to achieve compliance.
