The next Executive Committee Meeting will be held on 11:00am July 21 at City Hall Conference Room B.
1. Head Start is still waiting for the formal Change of Scope to be approved. The notice of state award (NOSA) was received and that reflects the Change of Scope. This would allow us to continue with our current attendance. Any wage increase would retro back to current grant year.
2. Community Services received a slight increase in CSBG federal funding. There is a current pause on funding rent payments until next funding begins in July. The Weatherization Program will be partnering with Central Terrace Co-Op.
1. Executive Director attended the Cap Law Conference.
a. Fire Department and EMS are aligning. The observe lack of services, defer them to our office.
2. City Council approved allocation to Human Services for $250,000 without restrictions on 6/15/26. Additionally, $100,000 will be provided from the cannabis tax.
4. NCAP Conference will be held in St. Louis, MO from August 31 -1 (pre-conference) September 2-4.
a. They are surveying agencies now to see what our partnerships look like with our Foster/Welfare systems.
3. They had a Re-Entry simulation at the DCEO Round Table. We had both our Head Start and CSBG Housing staff attend. Staff learned and were reminded of the need for this to be a whole family case management program. The questions should be asked on how we can assist them and making sure they are aware that these are needed questions to assist them and not to be nosy or not get assistance for their answers. The point is to see how to help stabilize the family.
