Commissioner Borrero commented that she liked the idea of the individual commissioners pairing with an Alderman to become acquainted with their ward and its constituents to help make the community aware it is welcome to engage with the Commission. Commissioner Crudup reported she had a discussion with a REGROW grantee regarding a grant to Brook Road United Methodist Church and Community Center. She stated City Staff have resolved the inquiry. Commissioner William Martin informed the Commission that he had met with Aldermen Tamir Bell and Karen Hoffman regarding the REGROW grants and asked for the grants to be reconsidered. He recommends the Commission assist in developing the intent and procedure of the grants. Commissioner Martin also asked about the status of the response from Public Works regarding the Commission’s inquiries from its last meeting.
Chairman Brown asked for a Motion to Adjourn. Commissioner Martin moved to Adjourn the meeting, seconded by Commissioner Crudup. MOTION PREVAILED with a unanimous voice vote. (Commissioners Scott Garwick and Mary Kaull were absent). The meeting adjourned at 5:51 PM.
