What this means
The committee moved several housing-related proposals closer to a full Council vote. One budget amendment would shift $3,168,000 into programs that help residents with housing costs, and two separate development agreements would support affordable housing projects at 512 Hull Street and 2811 Rady Street. The committee also backed funding for planning the Slavery and Freedom Heritage Site. A separate proposal about the City’s payment register was continued to a later committee meeting, and an investigation request was forwarded without recommendation.
