7:05pm meeting called to order by Mayor Supple. Mayor Supple asked for a moment of silence. Mayor Supple thanked the community for their continued volunteering to assist their neighbors. Hayford Oleary thanked the community for attending the meeting. Hayford Oleary expressed concern regarding the actions of ICE and the Federal Government. Hayford Oleary noted the fear within the community, and what is happening does not represent what the Pledge of Alligiance stands for. Burk expressed the importance for respect, and rule of law, compassion, kindness, and human rights. ICE is acting contrary to what their roles are regarding civil rights, shared humanity, and have no understanding of human rights. Burk noted the city limitations the City has regarding the Federal Government. Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota, (two other entities providing legal assistance). Burk noted standing in union, not acting out to give ICE additional reasons to act out. Coleman-Woods expressed gratitude to the community for attending the meeting, asked community to not do anything to get themselves hurt.
