Government Audit and Oversight Committee — Meeting Minutes (January 15, 2026)

The Government Audit and Oversight Committee met January 15, 2026 at City Hall (Legislative Chamber, Room 250). Chair Jackie Fielder, Vice Chair Danny Sauter, and Member Stephen Sherrill were present; a quorum convened at 10:00 a.m. No agenda changes were made. The Committee continued the Police Commission Statement of Purpose to call of the chair; recommended a management agreement for the Ocean Avenue Community Benefit District (Resolution 251231); and recommended five settlement ordinances: Stephanie York et al. ($6,030,000), General Motors Company ($71,125,000), Edwin Jesus Rementeria Hidalgo ($70,000), R.C. ($900,000), and Microsoft Corporation and subsidiaries ($6,500,000). Chair Fielder elected not to convene a closed session. The meeting adjourned at 10:09 a.m.
