Zoning meeting approves 2026 schedule

Charlotte City Council approved its 2026 regular and budget meeting schedule. The council also approved a group of rezoning items with no public opposition, but deferred several other zoning decisions and hearings to January 20, 2026. For residents, that means some development proposals advanced right away while others were pushed to a later meeting for more review.
