City approves $1.899 million street resurfacing

Council unanimously approved a contract estimated at $1,899,000 for Shaker Heights’ 2026 street resurfacing project after reviewing five bids. It also authorized a Van Aken bikeway agreement, approved the sale of three vacant city-owned properties for $1 per parcel to support construction of two single-family homes, and adopted other transportation, housing, and public safety measures.
