Committee unanimously recommends confirmations to arts and PDA seats; hears rental and homeownership briefings
The Seattle City Council Housing, Arts, and Civil Rights Committee met March 11, 2026 (called to order 2:05 p.m., adjourned 3:42 p.m.). Present: Chair Dionne Foster, Eddie Lin, Debora Juarez; Excused: Alexis Mercedes Rinck; Late: Joy Hollingsworth. The committee unanimously (4-0) recommended City Council confirm the appointment of Carlin Llorente to the Burke-Gilman Place Public Development Authority Governing Council (term to Dec. 31, 2026) and reappointments to the Seattle Arts Commission for Avery Barnes, Yoon Kang-O’Higgins, Yolanda L. Spencer, Linda Chavez-Lowry, Diana Garcia, Ricky Graboski, and Megan Kiskaddon (terms to Dec. 31, 2027). Information presentations were heard from the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections on rental programs (Geoff Tallent, Maureen Roat) and from the Seattle Office of Housing on homeownership programs (Kelli Larsen, Joy Hunt).
