Cultural Heritage Board meeting (July 17, 2024) adjourned early after multiple resignations; scheduled items continued
The Cultural Heritage Board met on July 17, 2024. The Board opened with approval of the June 19, 2024 minutes and received public comment regarding a potential historic designation in the Roseland District. Chair Brian Meuser read the Statement of Purpose and reported an updated City fee schedule and his intent to resign effective July 18, 2024. Four additional board members announced resignations (two effective immediately and two listed as immediate), producing a loss of quorum. Assistant City Attorney Ashle Crocker adjourned the meeting at 4:51 p.m. Due to the loss of quorum, a Rosenberg’s Rules of Order training presentation and a concept review of the Metropolitan Transportation Commission wayfinding signage prototype (Transit Mall and SMART Station) were continued to a date uncertain. The minutes show final approval on December 18, 2025.
