City Council phases SB 79 implementation

Council approved a revised ordinance (O-2026-124 Rev.) to phase implementation of Senate Bill 79, exempting certain non-transit areas and delaying requirements for very high fire severity zones, designated historic sites, and sites vulnerable to one foot of sea level rise until a compliant TOD Alternative Plan or other housing-element timeline is met.
