Council accepts District 5 recreation study, directs Measure G election preparation, and approves mid‑year budget adjustments
At the March 24, 2026 City Council meeting in the Salinas Rotunda the Council: accepted the District 5 Recreation Center Feasibility Study and initial site plan for Northgate Neighborhood Park; directed staff to prepare a resolution to place an extension of the one‑cent Measure G transactions/use tax on the November 3, 2026 ballot; and approved the FY 2025‑26 Mid‑Year budget performance review and related budget adjustments. The Council also approved multiple consent items including a Prohousing Incentive Program application, agreements for water pretreatment services and parking management, the Public Works QAP, and the FY 2026‑27 Public Art Plan.
