Council approves multiple projects and grants

City Council approved a full consent agenda including construction and contract awards for boat ramp work, trail improvements, demolition services, and expansion of the City Center Sports Complex; they also approved funding and agreements for YMCA fire suppression work, an ECHO grant application for Willow Run Park, and an FDOT lighting agreement. The Council unanimously upheld the Planning Commission's denial of a variance at 5968 Shady Creek Lane. Staff provided updates on Riverwalk, stormwater and parks bond projects, and introduced the new Public Works Director.
