City Council (Pittsburgh) meeting minutes — May 12, 2026: ordinances on city spaces and multiple public‑works and contract approvals

Council met with eight members present (Council Member Wilson absent). Proclamations honoring Christopher Hahn and the Kiwanis Club of Sheraden were adopted. Several resolutions and ordinances were passed (including new chapters prohibiting immigration enforcement in city‑owned/operated spaces and protecting community spaces), a requirement for quarterly, disaggregated violent‑crime reporting was passed as amended, and a range of public‑works contracts, amendments, reimbursements, and warrants were approved or referred to committees. Multiple items were read and referred for committee review, including a Johns Hopkins data‑sharing agreement (waiver of Rule 8).
