City Council receives Mayor’s FY2027 budget, refers budget bills, amends and passes multiple ordinances

Mayor Cherelle L. Parker delivered the FY2027 Budget Address and submitted the FY2027 operating and capital budgets and Five‑Year Plan. City Council introduced and referred the budget and related revenue proposals (including a retail delivery tax and rideshare use tax), placed several zoning bills on first reading, amended and passed tenant‑protection and other ordinances, approved financing actions for Philadelphia Gas Works, and adopted multiple honorary resolutions. Public comment was taken and the session was adjourned to March 19, 2026.
