City Council approves consent items, appoints Traffic Commission member, and receives FY 2026-27 budget study session (April 14, 2026)
The Orange City Council met April 14, 2026. Council convened a Closed Session on anticipated and existing litigation (including Sean Lee Arnold v. City of Orange, et al.) with no reportable action. In Regular Session the Council ratified warrant and payroll registers, approved prior meeting minutes, proclaimed April 19–25 as National Library Week, appointed Alexia Deligianni-Brydges to the City Traffic Commission (term to June 30, 2027), and received and filed the second budget study session for the proposed FY 2026-27 budget (staff overview of proposed Capital Improvement Projects, deferred projects, and reductions to fund balances). Public comments addressed graffiti, neighborhood concerns, recycling/air quality, keeping the Holiday Skate Center open, and a request to recognize May Day.
