Design Review Board recommends approval of Carnegie Whisky Library design with landscaping condition (Jan 8, 2026)
The Design Review Board met hybrid on January 8, 2026. The agenda was approved, and staff announced Tim Smith's promotion to Director of Community Planning and Economic Development. The Board recommended approval of the detailed design review for Case 26-0004 (Carnegie Whisky Library, 620 Franklin St SE) with one condition: replace the Wintercreeper on the landscaping plan if it is determined to be invasive. Building design and materials/colors were approved as proposed. Vote recorded: 4 aye; 2 excused; 1 absent. The meeting adjourned at 7:25 p.m.
