Olympia Arts Commission — Meeting Minutes, July 10, 2025
The Arts Commission met July 10, 2025 at 6:00 PM in Room 112. Attendance on roll call included Chair Kathryn Dorgan, Vice Chair Jacie Hoag, and Commissioners Jim Burlingame, Sergio Garcia, Coral Garey, Andrew Repcik, and Jay Spivak; Commissioners Christen Greene and Katherine Ransom were absent on roll call. The agenda and the June 12, 2025 meeting minutes were approved. Updates were provided on the Olympia Music History Project (website launched; received Inspire funding; seeking a large-format scanner) and on Equity, Inclusion and Belonging (EIB) efforts in arts programming; both items were information-only and required no action. Commissioner Andrew Repcik volunteered for the Art Intervention award jury. Announcements included the Plinth kick-off, Poet Laureate recognition at Council, a community poetry celebration at Squaxin Park, new public art at Grass Lake and West Bay parks, and an update on Art Crossing #3. The meeting adjourned at 7:55 PM.
