Oakland Redevelopment Successor Agency/City Council approves broad consent agenda including housing, public-health, and funding measures

Special concurrent meeting convened 3:32 PM on March 16, 2026 with Council President Jenkins presiding. A full consent agenda was approved (8 ayes) after public comment; the Council adopted multiple resolutions and ordinances covering local public-health emergency declarations (HIV/AIDS, medical cannabis), planning code amendments (S-14 and SB79 implementation), housing and homelessness funding and programs, grant acceptances, contracts, and two legal settlements. An informational anti-displacement report was received. The meeting adjourned at 4:47 PM.
