The Oakland Public Works and Transportation Committee met Jan 27, 2026 (11:31 AM) in the City Council Chamber. Members present: Houston, Unger, Wang, and Gallo. The committee approved draft minutes (Jan 13, 2026), accepted the schedule of outstanding items, approved a consultant contract amendment for the Fire Station 4 project (increasing the Loving Campos Associates contract by $2.7M to a total of $4.2M; waiver of RFP requirements; adoption of CEQA findings) and forwarded it to the City Council/concurrent Redevelopment Successor Agency for consideration. The committee also approved a resolution honoring Dr. Michael P. Ford and forwarded it to the Feb 3, 2026 City Council agenda. The meeting included public comment and adjourned at 12:19 PM in memory of Bridget Cook.
