Council met April 1, 2026 (called to order 12:35 PM). Roll call: 8 present, 1 absent (Michael J. Silva). Council held public hearings and adopted four ordinances (tourism improvement district license fee; wrecker/tow rules; solid waste abatement timing; sale of Block 20, Lot 1). The meeting approved multiple resolutions including temporary emergency appropriations and grant acceptances (public safety, public health, Seton Hall nursing program), a $67,624,172 interim operating appropriation for April 2026, numerous community violence-prevention grants, tax appeal settlements/refunds, NJDOT time extensions for pedestrian/Transit Hub projects, a Water & Sewer roof replacement contract, and Sustainable Jersey grant application for a micro-forest and cool roofs.
