Metropolitan Council (Nov. 18, 2025): Jodie Bell elected General Sessions Judge; multiple confirmations, grants, and infrastructure items approved
The Metropolitan Council met Nov. 18, 2025 at the Metropolitan Courthouse (6:30 PM). Jodie Bell was elected General Sessions Judge, Division VI. The Council confirmed several mayoral appointments (including Jeffrey Stovall, David Lawrence, and Aria Dang) and reappointed two Stormwater Management Commissioners. A multi-item Consent Agenda was approved unanimously, covering water/sewer acceptances, easements, greenway conservation easements, and other infrastructure and planning items. A proposed amendment to Rule 12 failed on roll call; Rule 29 was deferred. The Council adopted an amended Air Pollution Control Program Support grant resolution and approved a Statewide School Resource Officer (SRO) grant application.
