Public Art Subcommittee approves prior minutes; discusses PAIR mural conservation under 35th Street viaduct
The Milwaukee Arts Board Public Art Subcommittee met virtually on December 9, 2025 (3:04–3:43 PM). Members Morris, Murphy, Klose, and Pate were present; McSweeney was excused. The committee approved the November 11, 2025 meeting minutes. Members reported that DPW contacted Klose about a potential conservation/“refresh” of the mural beneath the 35th Street viaduct (north of National Ave, south of Pierce), originally funded by the New Work Fund in 2011; other partners are being considered. Staff are compiling documents for presentation at the Mayor’s cabinet meeting for the second round of the Public Artist in Residence Program (PAIR).
