Historic Preservation Commission creates 3D imaging subcommittee; approves multiple Certificates of Appropriateness
The Historic Preservation Commission met April 13, 2026 (City Hall, Room 301‑B). Seven members were present. The commission established a three‑member 3D imaging subcommittee to define technical standards and submission criteria for ordinance‑required scans prior to demolition, and approved multiple Certificates of Appropriateness for demolitions, rehabilitations, additions, and repairs across several historic districts. A proposed large mural on 918 N. Vel R. Phillips Ave. was held for further review. Staff‑approved COAs were noted and the March 2, 2026 minutes were approved; awards planning and scheduling were discussed.
