City Council approves infrastructure contracts, sets budget hearing, and proclaims Workers Memorial Day
At its April 27, 2026 regular meeting, Midland City Council adopted a Workers Memorial Day proclamation; held a preliminary public hearing on the proposed 2026–27 citywide budget; approved the Saginaw‑Midland Municipal Water Supply Corporation FY2026–27 capital budget; referred a Maple Street vacation request for departmental review; tabled action on the potential sale of 905 E. Park Drive until full Council can be present; awarded contracts for the 2026 Surface Treatment Program and Barstow Airport JET‑A fuel island reconstruction; and set a public hearing on the 2026 Downtown Economic Revitalization special assessment roll. A closed session on attorney‑client privileged contract negotiations was held and the meeting returned to open session.
