SEOPW CRA approves donations for toy giveaway, waives competitive procedures for grants, adopts FY 2024–25 audit; one item deferred and one withdrawn
The Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency met April 9, 2026 (called to order at 12:25 p.m., adjourned 12:31 p.m.). Present: Chair Christine King; Vice Chair Damian Pardo; Commissioners Miguel Angel Gabela, Rolando Escalona, and Ralph "Rafael" Rosado. Actions included adoption of resolutions to accept $61,000 in donations for the 16th Annual Historic Overtown Holiday Toy Giveaway; adoption of multiple resolutions waiving competitive negotiation procedures and authorizing the Executive Director to negotiate and execute grant-related documents (including restrictive covenants); retroactive approval and adoption of the SEOPW CRA financial statements and audit for FY 2024–25; deferral of Item 4 to the May 28, 2026 meeting; and withdrawal of Item 5. All recorded votes were unanimous.
