SEOPW CRA approves minutes; adopts resolutions on affordable housing, crime-reduction funding, and project disbursement
On January 22, 2026 the Southeast Overtown/Park West Community Redevelopment Agency met in regular session (called to order at 11:39 a.m., adjourned 11:42 a.m.). Chair Christine King and Commissioners Gabela, Pardo, Escalona, and Rosado were present. Public comment was opened and none was offered. The Board approved minutes for October 23, 2025; November 20, 2025; and December 11, 2025. The Board unanimously adopted three resolutions: (1) CRA-R-26-0001 selecting Krea USA, LLC as the sole proposer for disposition of five parcels (714, 720, 728, 734 NW 4th Avenue and 402 NW 8th Street) and authorizing the Executive Director to negotiate a development agreement for an affordable homeownership project (resolution clarifies it is not an award of development rights); (2) CRA-R-26-0002 authorizing up to $100,000 additional for the SEOPW Innovation Crime Reduction and Intervention Program for FY 2025–2026 (total allocation $2,515,000) and authorizing the Executive Director to disburse funds; and (3) CRA-R-26-0003 ratifying authorization to disburse up to $1,100,000 additional to the SEOPW Quadplex affordable homeownership project at 244 NW 16th Street (total project cost $2,700,000) and authorizing the Executive Director to disburse funds and execute necessary documents.
