Malden Pauses Data Center Permits

Malden adopted a one-year moratorium on permitting data centers, while directing a committee to study their infrastructure, environmental, health, and economic impacts and gather resident input. The Council also approved a funding package totaling $1.6465 million for rental assistance, affordable housing, park improvements, historic restoration, and records preservation.
