Housing Authority approves rent adjustments and board elections; winter-weather policy tabled
The Ledyard Housing Authority met April 6, 2026 at Kings Corner Manor. Members accepted financial reports for Jan–Mar 2026, elected officers for the commission, approved a $25/month increase for grandfathered tenant base rents effective August 1, 2026, and raised the facility rent cap to the 2025 Fair Market Rent of $1,326 effective August 1, 2026. Action to adopt HUD FY2026 income limits was continued because limits were not yet available. A revision to the Inclement Winter Weather Policy was tabled for review in August 2026. Executive Director reported one property (30 units) fully occupied as of March 1, 2026 with 33 tenants and a waiting list of 64.
