Planning & Zoning Subcommittee discusses parking regulation amendments; approves Jan. 8 minutes
The Town of Ledyard Planning & Zoning Subcommittee met Jan. 22, 2026 at the Town Hall Annex Building (also via Zoom). Commissioners Nathaniel Woody (Chair), Rhonda Spaziani, and James Harwood attended, along with Zoning Enforcement Official Hanah Gienau, Assistant to the Director of Land Use & Planning Anna Wynn, and consultant John Guszkowski (Tyche Planning). The committee discussed proposed amendments to the Ledyard Zoning Regulations regarding parking — including implications of House Bill 8002/Section 19, middle housing, parking needs assessments, basic parking minimums for multifamily developments over 16 units, loading zones, landscaping, bike racks, compact car and motorcycle parking, shared parking agreements, and the possible (but not currently pursued) Conservation & Traffic Mitigation overlay. The subcommittee approved two sets of Jan. 8, 2026 minutes and adjourned at 6:54 p.m.
