LUPPW Committee (Ledyard) — Minutes approved; blight review removed from future agendas (March 2, 2026)
The Land Use/Planning/Public Works Committee met March 2, 2026 (hybrid). Attendance: Councilors Jessica Buhle, Ty Lamb, James Thompson; Administrative Assistant Roxanne Maher. The committee approved the Feb 2, 2026 minutes (3-0). By consensus the committee removed the continued agenda item on enforcing blight regulations, noting the Land Use Department will continue enforcement work and the committee can re-add review if needed. The committee continued discussion on (1) pursuing historic designation for the Spicer Homestead Ruins (Historic District Commission preparing a draft report), (2) the Clark Farm lease and agricultural leasing criteria (draft forwarded to the Mayor for comment; RFP and public hearing process outlined), and (3) establishing a long-term town-wide capital improvement plan (placed on the April 6 agenda for follow-up). The meeting adjourned at 6:21 p.m.
