Lansdowne adopts single-use bag restrictions

Council unanimously approved an ordinance regulating and prohibiting single-use plastic bags and non-recycled paper bags at retail establishments in Lansdowne. Council also approved a 4-1 amendment to the ordinance banning swimming in Darby Creek, resolutions opposing an LNG export terminal and supporting opt-out community energy aggregation, and a Codes Department software purchase costing $15,000 for migration and $30,000 annually with 5% annual increases.
