Committee advances multiple street and school-zone safety measures, funds Vivion streetscape, and approves design amendment for NE 52nd; one item held
The Transportation, Infrastructure and Operations Committee voted to advance a traffic-control permit and traffic-calming approvals for St. Paul’s Episcopal Day School (temporary Walnut Street closure during school hours), approve a design amendment for Northeast 52nd Street sidewalk improvements, appropriate $8,984,008.12 for Northeast Vivion Road streetscape improvements (with a $300,000 funding gap to be pursued via federal CMAQ), and approve a code amendment prohibiting right turns in school zones when school speed limits are in effect. An amendment for North Brighton Avenue design services with Olsson Associates was held until 11/12/2025. All acted items were reported Adv and Do Pass as Committee Substitute with aye votes recorded.
