Plan Commission approves preliminary PUD for Neustoneshire Phase Two and amends JJC student housing PUD
At a special Plan Commission meeting on April 8, 2026 at City Hall Council Chambers, commissioners (Cox, Crompton, Kella, Martin, Radakovich, Turk, Hammac; Eulitz absent) approved minutes from prior meetings and took two land-use actions: approval of PUD-2-26 (Preliminary Planned Unit Development for Neustoneshire Phase Two, north of Van Dyke Road and west of County Line Road, Council District 3) and approval of PUD-3-26 (amendment to the Preliminary and Final PUD for Joliet Junior College Student Housing Subdivision at 1524 Richard T Rivera Way, Council District 5). No public testimony was recorded for either petition. Staff and applicants answered commissioner questions about home pricing, construction timing and routes, potential flooding on County Line Road, occupancy and rent. Both PUD items were noted to tentatively go to the April 21, 2026 City Council meeting with recommendations for approval.
