Joliet City Council approves multiple utility, public safety, and economic incentive actions; appoints Plan Commission member (Apr 7, 2026)
The City Council met April 7, 2026 in Council Chambers with Mayor Terry D'Arcy and all council members present. Council appointed Scott Hammac to the Plan Commission; approved a multi-item consent agenda including equipment purchases, consulting and construction contracts, and membership dues; authorized a $1,368,951.12 TIF draw for TIF District #7; approved contracts and amendments for excavation, water main design, sanitary lateral lining, storm sewer GIS mapping, and other utilities work; adopted a zoning reclassification for 717 Henderson Avenue; and adopted property tax incentive/abatement resolutions for HYUNDAI Translead, Inc. and Supermercados El Güero, Inc. Several intergovernmental and easement resolutions related to water main projects were also adopted.
