Joliet City Council (April 21, 2026) — Adopts PUDs, accepts $1M mental-health grant, approves budget amendment, licenses and multiple contracts

Council approved two planned unit developments including an amendment for Joliet Junior College student housing, accepted a $1,000,000 Will County Community Mental Health Board grant to fund a no-cost counseling program and a new social worker position, adopted a 2026 budget amendment, issued multiple liquor licenses, awarded several procurement and construction contracts, and appointed Naurice Moffett to the Joliet Public Library Board. Additional actions included roadway/engineering resolutions, a personnel-related ordinance on pre-separation recruitment, and the sale of a retired police K-9 to its handler.
