Finance Committee meeting summary

The Finance Committee met May 5, 2026 and reviewed an auditor report on purchasing cards, heard a quarterly procurement update, and considered more than 30 ordinances and resolutions. Key approvals included the Isle of Palms dependent district budget, a grant appropriation for Historic Stanton, amendments to apprenticeship funding for the Jacksonville General Apprenticeship Association, a small direct contract for an employee survey of JEA staff, and changes to the city’s opioid settlement grant rules. An Economic Development Agreement with The Winn-Dixie Company was amended extensively and deferred for further action. Several budget and lease matters were read for additional review or rereferral.
