Water conservation plan approved with voluntary first stage

The City Council approved a drought contingency and water conservation plan by a 6-1 vote, keeping Stage 1 voluntary. Council also amended the proposed Fiscal Year 2026 budget, including funding for a half-year rideshare startup and a K9 officer while reducing or removing several economic development and administrative expenses.
