Council Approves FY 2026 Budget

The City Council approved the FY 2026 budget and capital plans in a 4-3 vote, adding a target of 120 days of fund balance and a 2% cost-of-living adjustment for civilian employees. It also unanimously approved a $2 million contribution and approximately 13.78 acres of right-of-way for the Pelican Island Bridge Project, returned Pelican Island Park and West End Park to city management by October 1, 2025, and approved several zoning and traffic-related ordinances.
