Fort Worth City Council approves broad consent agenda, continues Veale Ranch data center public hearing, adopts World Cup districts ordinance
The Fort Worth City Council met March 31, 2026 (called to order at 11:58 a.m.; meeting adjourned 3:19 p.m.) with Mayor Mattie Parker and all 11 council members present. The Council approved the Consent Agenda (11-0), adopting multiple contracts, appropriations, land actions, and procurement items across transportation, water/utilities, stormwater, public safety, and library services. Council denied an alcohol-sales variance (M&C 26-0205), continued the Veale Ranch data center public hearing to May 12, 2026 (M&C 26-0243), adopted an ordinance establishing temporary 2026 FIFA World Cup districts (Ordinance No. 28395-03-2026; effective June 1–July 27, 2026), and adopted eminent domain resolutions for the Mary’s Creek force main project (Resolutions No. 6289-03-2026 and 6290-03-2026). Other notable actions include approval of a settlement related to a terminated food and beverage agreement (M&C 26-0235), several water and biosolids contracts and appropriations, tax abatement agreements, and vendor agreements for health benefits and digital library services.
