Planning Commission (July 1, 2025): Recommend PUD amendment for 17010 E. 88th Ave; set schedule for Land Development Code and Transportation Master Plan hearings

The Commerce City Planning Commission met July 1, 2025 (called to order 6:05 PM; adjourned 6:42 PM). Five commissioners were present. The Commission approved the May 6, 2025 minutes and unanimously found that PUDA25-0002 (Becknell Industrial — PUD Zone Document Amendment No. 3 for 17010 E. 88th Avenue to allow warehouse/distribution uses and reduce front yard setback for planning area 3) meets Land Development Code criteria and recommended City Council approve the amendment. Commission business noted the postponed Oakwood proposal will return to Planning Commission in October and go to City Council November 17. Staff announced upcoming dates including an Aug 5 joint study session on the Land Development Code, a Sept 2 public hearing on the Land Development Code and the Transportation Master Plan, Oct 6 first reading of the Land Development Code at City Council, Nov 3 second reading, and a housing needs assessment report to Council on Sept 22.
