Council approves Percheron zoning and land-use changes; postpones Dorado Transport and withdraws Airport Road rezone At the January 13, 2026 City Council meeting, council postponed Ordinance No. 25-101 (Dorado Transport rezoning) to January 27 due to missed public notice, withdrew Ordinance No. 25-102 (4880 Airport Road rezone) to return it to the Planning Commission for re-review due to notice failures, and finally passed Ordinance No. 25-103 and the related major modification approving the Percheron zone change and Land Use Plan modification. The Consent Calendar (including Dec. 9, 2025 minutes, City Clerk posting designation, PPM updates, Planning Commission rules, and an informational report on a utilities claim) and council appointments to boards and commissions were approved. A joint proclamation recognized Martin Luther King Jr. Day and the Mayor’s representative provided legislative and sales tax updates.
