At the May 5, 2026 Committee meeting, members approved the April 2026 Rule 45 report and recommended passage of six municipal code amendments. Actions included a prohibition and penalties for sweepstakes machines (passed as substitute), approvals to allow additional alcoholic and package goods licenses on designated portions of S Ashland Ave and W Chicago Ave, and measures disallowing additional alcoholic and package goods licenses on specified portions of E Erie St/E Ontario St and N State St/E Huron St (one disallow measure also passed as substitute). All items were recommended to pass and passed by the committee.
