Committee recommends two liquor-license increases and approves two FY2026 service MOUs; one expert-partner MOU held
The Public Health, Safety, and Transportation Committee met April 14, 2026 (called to order at 4:04 p.m.; adjourned 4:22 p.m.). All five members were present. The committee accepted minutes from March 10, 2026 and recommended approval of two resolutions to establish maximum counts for Class B (onsite consumption) and Class D (downtown core onsite consumption) liquor licenses related to Aurora IL Wing Company, LLC and Kai Aurora, Inc., respectively. The committee recommended approval of Memoranda of Understanding with Guardian Angels Community Services and with The Aging & Disability Services Division of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Joliet, Inc., for FY2026. The Expert Partner MOU with the Cities for Financial Empowerment Fund, Inc. was held (no action).
