Community Development/Human Services Committee Regular Meeting (Draft minutes; meeting held March 24, 2026)

The committee adopted the agenda and approved the minutes unanimously (with several members absent). It received quarterly updates from the Department of City Planning and the Department of Labor & Employment Services. The committee accepted the 2025 CAPER report unanimously and approved the public hearing process unanimously, after three public speakers. On the regular agenda, multiple ordinances and resolutions were advanced favorably (often unanimously) including items related to neighborhood/master plan adoption, grant-related actions, workforce development grant authorization, park/ADA improvements funding, and a memorandum of understanding for an African American history education series. Several land-use/CODP items were held in committee, and requested items/questions were logged for follow-up discussions. The meeting adjourned at 3:40 PM.
