Board of Health elects officers, recommends Chapter 9 code revisions, and upholds dangerous animal declaration

The City of Appleton Board of Health met May 13, 2026 at 7:00 AM in Council Chambers (6th Floor). Seven members were present; one (Cathy Spears) was excused. The Board approved prior minutes, elected Cathy Spears as Chair and Lee Vogel as Vice Chair, set regular meeting schedule (second Wednesday at 7:00 AM), designated Health Officer Charles Sepers as contact, recommended approval of Municipal Code Chapter 9 revisions related to Health Department licensing, recommended approval of a Department of Public Works noise variance, upheld a dangerous animal declaration for 'Buddy Boy and Angie' with conditional partial waiver, and adjourned at 7:45 AM. Information items included dangerous animal updates, Q1 Health Department report, newsletters, respiratory virus surveillance and wastewater report, and a list of approved noise variances.
